Requiem is a work of comfort that speaks to the resilience of the human spirit. The Requiem’s genesis is shrouded in myth - one that makes the piece even more fascinating and emotionally stirring. Supposedly composed while on the edge of consciousness, Mozart willed his last creation into life with his final breaths, bestowing upon the world a choral tour de force that remains remarkably poignant today.
